Functioning similarly as a tier-3's skill initiation requirement, the player must add a character to be the striker. A skill type, added to the game on June 1, 2022, is called the tier-4 striker skill. Unlike tier-3 skills however, the player does not need to charge up the skill, it rather functions like an normal active skill. A similar skill type called awakened skills, is able to be unlocked, when, a character that can transcend potential, has achieved "awakened potential" status. Once the skill is initiated, the character will launch a powerful attack to the enemy. In battle, the player can use the character's skills to charge-up a gauge. It is unlocked when a character achieves tier-3 status. Another skill type is called the tier-3 skill. Tier 2 passive works when the character is not a leader. Certain characters start out as automatic tier-2 characters. All team members will receive the benefits of the leadership skill for the entire duration of the level.Īnother skill type called tier-2 passive skill is unlocked when the character attains tier-2 status. This skill is active when the character is in the leadership position of the team. A character will start out with 2 skills initially and gain up to 6 skills as it is ranked up.Īpart from the 6 skills, each character has an additional Leadership skill unlocked through mastery of the character. Active skill is initiated by the player while passive skills will trigger when specific conditions are met during gameplay. Apart from the default attack mode, each character has additional special skills these may be directed attacks, AOE attacks, or induce application of buffs or shields and are unique to each character. The active character will lock onto a target and continue moving toward it to attack it unless input to behave otherwise. The player's character has a default attack mode which does substantial damage involving repetitive melee/weapon attacks based on the character type chosen. The player begins with a party of 3 characters, of which the player controls one. Certain characters can have their potential realized and leveled up to 70, subsequently the third tier. A completely mastered character can move to the second tier, although exceptions for some characters exist. They each hold battle types that have advantages over one another except universal type. They are organized into 4 tiers: tier 1 can go up to level 60, tier 2 to level 70, the same for tier 3 and potential transcendence, and tier 4 can go up to level 80. The multiplayer modes are either stupid easy (World Boss Invasion), require incredibly strong teams to carry (Giant Boss Raid), can't be played (Alliance Tournament which is for the top 1%), or are just stupid (Alliance Conquest). There are more than 200 playable characters. Population seems good but it's pointless since the game is like 95% single player. I would caution from trying to buy your way out of the grind, it's a VERY steep climb. Games been around a long time, it's to be expected at this point. Gacha tends to come into play with CTP's/Premium Comic Cards, neither which are worth exploring unless you're whaling out anyway. There's no real character gacha as you can simply unlock most heroes by some means (some are paywall however). It's still a grind, mind you, but you aren't really missing out on anything anyway. The good news is, the game is really newbie friendly and gives away a lot of stuff. At the very top there be some strategy there, but it's all pointless since. Conquest is a dumb game mode, it's just whoever's alliance has more activity in 95% of all ranks. the awards are awful and simply stop after a certain point. There's some scoring modes (Alliance Battle) but again. Timeline is just whales fighting for the top like most mobile games, except the awards are extra bad. Shadowland (somewhat random stages with random rules) has (infinite?) scaling but like other modes, the rewards are crap past level 30 (first time clears not withstanding). There are World Boss fights that have increasing ranks of difficulty but the awards don't really scale past rank 20 or so all that well. Have to be a pretty big marvel fan to stick with it past a certain point because all you're doing is basically the same grind.Įnd game content is fairly limited. It's fairly new player friendly but like any mobile game, tends to get tedious at some point.
